Welcome Aboard!
What's New?
Well, new page layout (again) - lots more pictures, and some information on the boat. All new and
using a new set of tools should allow for a little more frequent updates in the future.
So, check out the updates from our 2006 and 2007 Summer Sailing Vacations below, and see the
logbook for all of our trips and fun.
Kai Tora visiting Port Townsend - Boat Haven
Sailing Lessons!
Rachel turned 9 at the end of the July. She can steer
compass courses, and line of sight courses. She is
learning the proper names for all the parts of the boat.
This summer, she again took sailing lessons of her
own!
And this year, Sonni was around to capture even more
pictures than last year. Check out her skills on the
links right here:

Stay tuned for more updates on her progress towards
becoming Master & Commander.
2006 Boring Project of the Year - Windows and Haulout
Last years project (inverter and batteries) added new capabilities to
Kai Tora, and was an exciting step forward in making her comfortable
all the time. This years project also worked toward comfort, but was
far less photogenic. The windows were removed and re-sealed, and
the dodger got its zipper fixed (and a few snaps too). We also did our
insurance inspection, had the seacocks repacked, and the bottom
painted. Great maintenance items - there just isn't much new, or
much to show...
