2002 Daysail with Brett and Beth
Shortly after we bought Kai Tora, we had an all too rare opportunity to daysail with some friends from San Francisco. So many
things didn't work on the boat - and this sail confirmed our suspicion that the in mast furling main had to go. Still, its hard not
to have fun when the weather and company are good.
Sandy wound up doing most of
the sailing, while the guys hauled
on the disused rig!
Rachel enjoyed a little
freedom and some new
playmates. Soon Joshua will
be in the picture - so enjoy the
spotlight for now!
Brett and Beth visit Seattle
Shortly after beginning my new job at Cisco, I was introduced
to Brett by a mutual friend as the 'smartest guy I know.' I soon
figured this to be no understatement. We got a chance to relax
and enjoy a day sailing with Beth and he one kinda sunny (but
mostly dead calm) day that summer. Without Brett's help, we
never would have raised a sail! It took all of us hauling on the
stuck winches, frozen gears, and various lesser used parts of
the boat. Many thanks! Come back and visit us again, it all
works much better now - promise!
