2005 Roche Harbor Vacation - The Crew
We were lucky enough to have our full crew, plus a special guest - Sonni! Sonni was visiting
from Hamburg, Germany and as usual, livened up the place with her energy. The kids love
her, as do we - and we are excited that she will be back next year for vacation sail 2006!
This hardly ever happens
It's a pretty rare moment to see our
most intrepid adventurer Rachel go
down for a nap in the middle of the
day. Catch 'em while you can!
Just, well, sail casual
In a tribute to Han Solo, we
find ourselves trying not to
be boarded by the whale
protectors. There is a
need to "sail casual, but
don't make it look like you
are trying to sail casual..."
Good luck Han!
Family Photo
Always good to have a family photo.
This one includes Back Stay, since
she too is part of the family :-).

The Parade Grounds
Roche Harbor has some really fun
traditions borrowed from overnight camps.
One of these is a Colors Ceremony
celebrated every evening.
The flag handlers parade across these
grounds on their way to a locker that holds
a cannon and powder. These are setup,
and the flag is lowered amid much fanfare!
The End
After 10 days of fun in the sun, we had to
come home. For Daddy and Joshua, this
is the end.

Special Guest Crew!
Sonni has been a special
friend and member of our
extended family ever since
she jumped in to au-pair
Rachel through age 1. It
required lots of courage, and
dedication - but we are so
glad she stuck with it! This
year she visited us for several
weeks, including the sail. We
hope to see her again next
summer.
