2006 Daysail with some wind
It was a nice sunny day, a hot for Puget Sound - maybe 90 degrees.  The wind was up, 12-17 knots and pretty steady.  A
great chance for us to do some quick sailing.  Don't miss Mt Rainer peeking out from under our jib in the far right photo...
We love these sails!
One of our splurges was to have a whole new suit of sails custom built for the new rig.  With the
mainsail furler gone, we went with full battens on a high roach main.  Antal tracks and battcars may
be a bit overkill, but the main goes up and down like a dream.

Carol Hasse of
Port Townsend Sails built the main, jib, and a few others sails not featured this fine
day.  She was a blast to work with, and we highly recommend her and her team.  The sails are very
well constructed, and should hold up to cruising for many years.  We are still learning how to get
the most from them, and are always finding they are ready to step up when we are.
Knot the fastest of the day, but...
We sailed all over Elliott Bay thinking
we were very cool doing 7+ knots
most of the time.

We hit over 8 knots on one beam
reach back to the dock!  But with the
day ending soon, we were having too
much fun to take a picture.

Knot bad!
