This summer we were lucky enough to have Ty, Donna, and
Jack out for a sail.  They are great fun, and Ty is an honest to
goodness certified "real" sailor.  With his careful attention to the
sails, we made more way than usual.  And had great fun in the
process... inventing such lovelies as "sheepshank ears" and
the "jack stand!"  We can hardly wait to see what comes next.
The Jack Stand
Jack was awesome fun.  He learned quickly to control
the boat, and when we lost the wind - he pitched in and
performed - "the Jack Stand."
Kelt Tour Du Monde Cognac
After we docked, Ty and Donna introduced us to this
delicious and nautically appropriate spirit!  Cheers!

Centuries ago, Cognac shipped in oak barrels improved
dramatically during the voyage. The rolling of the sea, the
temperature variations, the frequent air pressure and
weather changes, and the sea all combine to round off the
spirit in a beautiful way.  Kelt puts this Cognac on a
three-month voyage around the world before bottling.
A Perfect Set
With Ty's steady direction, Jack and the rest of us all learned
something this day.  We had a good breeze to start, which
unfortunately died off in the afternoon and could only be
revived with an application of gin and tonic.  What fun!

Pretty sheep shank ears
It's hard to tell sometimes, just what something
looks like to other people.  But it's pretty clear
here, that a sheep shank looks very much like
something you wear on your head to Rachel.
And this is a sheep shank
on your brain...
This is a sheep shank...
"Medium red- amber.
Delicate and restrained floral

sweet finish indicate a style
that was appreciated for its
mouthfeel and rare
smoothness from start to
finish rather than intensity of
flavor. Classy."
