Our Take on Things
We had looked at hundreds of floor plans by the time we saw
Tiger's Ledge for the first time.  Very few offered as much as this
home did.  The flow between rooms, the relative size and locations
of rooms, all suited us well.
The house was already sighted on the
lot, and it made great use of
the views available.

The builder had already upgraded the exterior to stucco and stone.
So, we didn't need to do much in the way of changes to the
exterior.  We added a fence around the property's perimeter, and
are going to seek a variance to allow the stamped cement driveway
to run all the way to the road.

The previous almost owner had reworked the Master and Guest
suites layout, giving them a plan much to our liking as well.  He had
turned the fifth bedroom into a sauna, but we decided we'd rather
have the extra bedroom so it was changed back.  A few other
amendments added a great bulk storage facility to the wine cellar,
and gave an extra (if somewhat awkward) closet in the Main
Engineering Closet (MEC).  We made major changes to the
systems design, and with a house this size we are glad we did!
More on those features later.
